Foreland Argentario Apartments

Sleepinitaly

The Argentario is a promontory overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and reaches out to Giannutri and Giglio. Not an island, connected to Tuscany by two strips of land, which encapsulate the beauty of the Lagoon of Orbetello. An area that combines the charm of the mountain to the sea and alternating bays of clear water to large terraces planted with vines.

The main center of Monte Argentario is Porto Santo Stefano. The town descends along the slopes of the promontory in a picturesque bay on the northern coast and is the ideal destination for those who love the sea.
A reminder of the seafaring traditions of a fishing vessel and survived the assault of the Saracens, every 15 August, takes place the "Palio seafaring", an event preceded by a spectacular procession in Spanish costumes.

On the opposite side of Monte Argentario, Porto Ercole is instead, a charming seaside village nestled in a bay sheltered by a small promontory.

The region is part of the Maremma Toscana  in the south of the province of Grosseto. In the area there is an old and excellent food tradition.
