Agritourism - Valle del Castello : country side of Rome

Valle del Castello Agritourism is part of a Biological Farm, surrounded by a hilly country bordering the Veio Park. The biological naturalistic farm, perfectly in line with the cultural historical tradition of the area, breeds wild cattles for food. Moreover it yields, according to farm hand systems, well known oil since the ancient times.

The Agritourism is close to Rome ( 20 Km ) and is particularly appreciated by people interested in a rural as well as cultural vacation. It offers complete relax in the countryside and the opportunity to visit the Eternal City.This farm is run according to strict biological standards.

Particular emphasis is put on the feeding and quality of life of animals, free to move in the wide space dedicated to them. In the farm a shop is available for periodical direct selling of the meat. This way the consumer is directly in contact with the producer and is able to personally control the quality and breeding procedures.

Oil is produced by the farming of olive plants, some of them age long and the oil harvest is hand made. The grinding is done right after the picking and reflects the old tradition of the production in the region.

All products are certified by AIAB ( Italian Association for biological Agriculture).

The main structure of the Agritourism is composed of five newly remodeled living units.

Each of them has its own completelly equipment kitchen, air conditioning in all rooms, TV SAT, wide living room, outside centralized barbeque, ample parking space.

A wide equipped terrace and a centralized barbeque is available for guests.

A beautiful swimming pool available for guest.

The Agriturism also offers the possibility of tasting selected menus at lunch or dinner. The cheff use the products of the Factory combining the tradition of the Roman cusine.

Countryside:

Tours in the countryside area are arranged through the help of farm personnel. You will be able to participate in the rural life as much as possible.

In Veio Park (few Km. away) you can enjoy walking in unpolluted nature, in an organized sightseeing. Moreover it is possible to visit naturalistic sites of fluvial nature such as Oasis of Nazzano with bird-watching stationings. The more trained ones can easily reach Soratte Mountain, where walking tracks and mountain-bike excursions of various difficulty (up to 691 mts) are organized.

A horse riding center is located 5 miles away. You can enjoy riding on a horse ground or join guided tours on the countryside. A restaurant is available.

4 Km. away you can fish trouts in a lake.

Bracciano Lake can easily be reached (25 Km). There you can rent sailing boats of the sliding-keel type and attend courses for beginners or experts.
