Leaving Rome along the green valley of the River Tiber, and driving through the gentle hills of Umbria and Lazio, you will arrive in Tuscany, and with the motor-way behind you, you will find yourself surrounded by the famous Sienese hills as you make your way to Siena itself, a UNESCO world-heritage city and birthplace of Saint Catherine. Here you will visit the "Campo" square where the famous horse race, known as the "Palio delle Contrade" takes place each year. From the square you will be able to admire the beautiful Gaia Fountain and Mangia Tower. Continuing on northwards through the vineyards that produce Chianti wine, you will reach San Gimignano for lunch and freetime in which to explore some of the hidden corners of the so-called "city of 100 towers". In the afternoon, the bus will take you on the famous shopping complex known as "The Mall" where you will find factory shops of some of the most prestigious and best known designers: Bottega Veneta, Armani, Gucci, Ferragamo, Tod's, Valentino, Sergio Rossi etc. Here you will be able to find bargains from the end of the current season or previous year's collections. Free time for shopping. You will arrive back in Rome by at 8 p.m. and then be returned to the vicinity of your hotel.
