Guests will be accommodated in a real B&B, where the proprietors offer a warm, friendly welcome together with their unobtrusive presence.

Our B&B is located in the historical town centre, only few minutes walk from Santa Maria del Fiore's Cathedral, Piazza San Marco, the Academy Gallery the Medicis' Chapels, San Lorenzo's Church, and other major tourist attractions are all nearby.

It stands in one of the liveliest corners of the City, where you can find little typical restaurants and enjoy your shopping both in the most fashionable boutiques and in San Lorenzo's market with its stalls of typical Florentine products.

On the lower floor of the building there is a small eighteenth-century private theatre of 80 seats which opens onto a courtyard arrayed by fountains and old earthen vases. The guestrooms are on the first floor.

The house is conveniently situated at five minutes walk from the train station at Santa Maria Novella, well served y Public Transport, and only 10 km from the A. Vespucci airport which offers a car-rental service

If you are travelling by car, there is a garage 40 m. From the Relais (Garage S.Orsola tel. +39 055 281893).

There are also places nearby where one can rent bicycles.

Cristina and Giuseppe, the owners, are fond of art and culture, place their library, which is well stocked with multilingual guidebooks about Florence as well as books on Art, at your disposal.

They would be happy to supply you with every kind of information about culture, wine, gastronomy and artistic events in Florence as well as interesting places to visit exhibitions of antiquities, Villas, old villages, the famous Palio of Siena, where the horses race in the central Piazza, Tuscan wine party.

If you like cooking, ask us about Tuscan recipes: Cristina and Giuseppe are excellent cooks and, if you insist just a little, they will be willing to prepare some dishes for you to try together.

Among the elements which characterise the bedrooms and private bathrooms are beautiful, old Vietri majolicas, with their vivid colours and fine decorations.

The coffered decorated ceilings are typically Tuscan. Every room has its own distinct character including the antique furniture which is Cristina and Giuseppe's passion.

Continental breakfast, which will be served in your room and prepared with great care using organic ingredients, consists of milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit juices, different kinds of Tuscan bread and home made cakes.

On your arrival, you will find fruit and flowers in your bedroom. No pets allowed.
