BED AND BREAKFAST DEL SOLE - CORTONA

Il Sole del Sodo is a small and comfortable Bed and Breakfast where you will enjoy your time, reading and relaxing, or walking through beautiful tuscany's countryside. Located under the walls of the old town of Cortona-at only 2 km from the center, the B&B take his name from the area in which is located and from the warm sun that shines on the property and that warm it up during all day from the sunrise to the sunset.

Surrended by olives's camps and dominated by a peacefull atmosphere that marks the valley around, the property is composed of an old main house of the end of nineteenth century with five duoble rooms and by 6 cosy appartments made cleverly from the old stable.

Located under the walls of the old town of Cortona-at only 2 km from the center,"Il BB del Sole" take his name from the area in which is located and from the warm sun that brigths everyday and that warm it up during all day from the sunrise to the sunset.

The Rooms

The five rooms, finely decorated with a style that mixes some of the classic country to the modern, make the guest feel part of a particular atmosphere, also thanks to the excentric and unique lamps created during the restoration of the house by Claudia (hostess/owner).

So you could accomodate in the "THE VEILS ROOM" with warm colors like orange, yellow and red, with ligth veils that come down from the four poster bed. The room of Veils has, on request, an adiacent room with two more bed.

Then there is "THE ROOM OF DOVES" with a romantic loft bed and a wonderful fireplace.

"THE ROOM OF THE PAST",with a decoration that reminds you of sixties/seventies decade. And if you feel up to date why don't you refuge to "THE ZEN ROOM", small but bright, enriched by precious details.

Then also you could choose "THE TREE ROOM", called like that cause duirng the restoration a fresco has been found, showing an olive tree, the room is also provided of a terrace.

I Villini

The 6 little apparments of the BB were in the past smalls stables, that now have been restored carefully, and became comfortable accommodations.

You could enjoy the Villini for a longer period of time to spend in the beatiful Tuscan landscapes, for comfortable vacation respecting your privacy.

THE GREEN VILLINO (1 double bed + double sofa bed) overlooks to the wills, and has his own terracce with lots of light ,is ideal for those who like to have a nice barbeque and enjoying it by the fresh air or in front of the beautiful kitchen.

THE YELLOW VILLINO (1 double bed + double sofa bed)

THE RED VILLINO (2 single bed) the smallest features a beatiful handmade fireplace.

THE BLUE VILLINO (1 double bed+double sofa bed)is the biggest, composed of a big room, a lovely kitchen with a beautiful fireplace.

THE ORANGE VILLINO (1 double bed + duoble sofa bed).

THE WHITE VILLINO (1 double loft bed+ french bed).

The breakfast is served in the big room of pastaia and upon request the breakfast could be served in room. You can taste:

THE CLASSIC MENU, made by different kind of breads, marmellade, yogurt, cornflaks and fresh fruits.

THE SWEET MENU with a wide selection of croissant, local cakes, delicious the apple tart.

THE BRUNCH MENU with eggs, prosciutto, cheeses, italain sausages and local focaccia.
